Bucket List Trip 2016~Day 7~ Tea, SD (Sioux Falls) to Wall, SD

As we left Tea, South Dakota, USA, it was about 67°F and very cloudy.
Our beautiful sky from yesterday was gone.
It was also super windy!  Around 20mph.
We drove across country about 15 minutes to get on I90 West of Sioux Falls.
If you know us, you know we don't like Interstates,
but this highway was entertaining right from the start.
 Rest stop.
We did get off to travel the highways seeing that we would be going through an Indian Reservation.
It didn't take us long to decide the extra time wasn't worth it.
For the first time ever, the Interstate was more interesting.
So we got back on the Interstate.
Our first Wall Drug sign!
At breakfast a guy from Idaho said we'd better have a can of gas with us because the stations were far apart.
Yes, he had us paranoid.
We made our first stop for gas at half tank at Mitchel.
While there, we checked out the Corn Palace.
It's a free visit.
The exterior is decorated with corn and other grains grown in the area.

Just down the street, a tribute to the 911 Victims.

We drove back down main street which is a thriving business street.

I went in the fabric house while Mr. G went across the street to the Plaza Mall.
Then, on down I90.

Stopped at Chamberlain, SD for a late lunch.
A group of gentlemen came in and played Yahtzee.

Checked out the Quilt shop there.

 Check out this utility pole.

Got back on the highway and got some amazing shots
despite the intermittent heavy clouds.
Enjoy!

Mr. G clock the distance to the far hill to be 5 miles!

Good night.
