Changing a Tank Top Pattern

There was some leftover fabric from the adjustable skirt, so I pulled out this size 1 & used the tank top pattern.  I had bought this pattern at an old Hancock's in Bowling Green.  When a pattern was discontinued, they removed the envelope for some reason & sold the patterns for 25 cents each.  I bought a ton of patterns over the years.

Then the bottom part of the pattern was cut from the pink and seamed together.  This pattern was supposed to use stretchable fabric, so there was no closure in the back.
I cut the back down about 4 inches and added a placket &
The tank top turned out as a cropped top.
Consider putting scraps of fabric together to complete a pattern cut out.

I found a free
Tiny Tank Top pattern a@ The Alison Show
and a 2T Flared T @ Delia Creates.
Severals sites show how to just copy the outline of a purchased tank top.

btw...... this little outfit went to a Ladybug themed party.
I just happened to have some fabric to make the gift bag.

  1. Beautifully made crop top. I'm sure a little girl will be happy to wear the outfit. And carry her things in the lovely bag. :-)
